Job Role: Insurance Operations Executive

An Insurance Operations Executive supports the day-to-day operations of an insurance company or agency. The role focuses on policy administration, customer service, claims support, compliance, and coordination with sales/underwriting teams to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities of an Insurance Operations Executive

1. Policy Administration

Process new insurance applications, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.

Verify policy documents and ensure accuracy of customer and policy details.

Maintain updated records in the insurance management system.

2. Customer Service & Support

Handle customer queries regarding policies, premiums, claims, and benefits.

Provide assistance to clients in understanding policy terms and procedures.

Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints or escalations.

3. Claims Processing Support

Assist in claims registration and documentation.

Coordinate with claims assessors, underwriters, and customers to speed up settlements.

Track claims status and keep customers informed.

4. Compliance & Documentation

Ensure all processes comply with IRDAI (or relevant regulatory authority) guidelines.

Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.

Support internal compliance checks and reporting requirements.

5. Coordination with Internal Teams

Work closely with underwriting, sales, and finance teams for smooth policy issuance and servicing.

Support sales teams by providing necessary operational assistance.

Collaborate with IT and process improvement teams for automation and efficiency.

6. Reporting & Analysis

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on operations, policies issued, and claims handled.

Track performance metrics like turnaround time (TAT) and accuracy.

Provide insights for process improvements in operations.

7. Training & Process Improvement

Assist in training new team members on insurance processes and systems.

Suggest improvements to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Stay updated with industry regulations, products, and process changes.
