Role Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our security team. The successful candidate will assist in monitoring, analyzing, and generating cyber threat intelligence, implementing security controls, and solutioning. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or equivalent disciplines to gain hands-on experience in a real-world cybersecurity environment.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the cybersecurity and engineering teams to support the design, development, and implementation of security-centric solutions.

• Contribute to PoC, documentation, testing, and validation of solutions.

• Research and apply new tools and technologies relevant to ongoing cybersecurity projects.

• Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability in completing assigned tasks.

• Communicate progress and challenges clearly and proactively with mentors and team members.

Communication and Documentation:

• Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, listening and interpersonal skills.

• Collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Excellent reporting, time management, analytical & communication skills.

Qualifications and Technical Skills:

• 1-2 years of experience with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Basic understanding of networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud concepts.

• Scripting and automation skills in languages such as Python, Bash, etc to develop MVPs and PoCs.

• Awareness of cybersecurity frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001, and Cyber Kill Chain would be an advantage.

• Exposure to common security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nessus, Splunk, Burp Suite).

• Knowledge on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure would be preferred.

Software Development Engineering (High Tech) focus on developing multiple types/categories of software including end-user applications and operating systems/utility software, that provides a platform for running end user applications for sale to external customers. The work includes:

• Conducting requirements gathering and analysis to understand the domain of the software problem and/or functionality, the interfaces between hardware and software, and the overall software characteristics
• Using programming, scripting, and/or database languages to write the software code
• Supporting software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements
• Applying knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Entry to developing level professional with little or no prior experience required. Applies a broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. Work is closely supervised. Works to deliver day-to-day objectives with limited impact on achievement of results for the job area. Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area. Problems faced are not typically difficult or complex.
