Job Description Zonal Sales Manager (DGM – North India)
Basic Details
• Designation: Deputy General Manager – Sales (North)
• Reporting To: President / Sales Head
• Team Management: 3–4 State Heads / RSMs, ~20 front line sales executives, regional marketing team, and service team
Job Purpose
To lead and manage sales operations across multiple states, ensuring achievement of sales & collection targets, profitable growth, channel & project expansion, marketing activities, and customer satisfaction through a high-performance team.

Key Responsibilities
• Build and lead a high-performance team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Drive channel and project sales to achieve business targets with effective sales process management.
• Ensure profitable sales while adhering to company pricing and gross margin guidelines.
• Enforce credit control policies to manage outstanding and reduce bad debts.
• Lead marketing initiatives including product launches, exhibitions, sales promotions, and brand visibility.
• Build strong relationships with architects, specifiers, dealers, distributors, institutional clients, and government bodies.
• Coordinate with logistics, plant, and commercial teams for smooth order execution.
• Resolve customer/dealer issues and ensure superior service delivery.
• Improve forecasting, sales planning, and market coverage.
Qualification & Experience
• MBA preferred
• 12–15 years of leadership experience in sales, preferably in building materials / ceramics / sanitaryware / consumer durables.
• Strong exposure to channel sales, project sales, key account management, and team leadership.
