We are having an urgent opening for AM- Heat Treatment.

Designation : Asst. Manager Heat Treatment

Qualification: B.E / Diploma in Metallurgy,

Experience : 5 to 10 Years      

Location      : Satara

Reporting to: HOD Heat Treatment

 Position Summary: This position is responsible for all plant heat treatment facility. Responsibilities include Hardening Tempering, Annealing, solution annealing, stress reliving etc. a variety of metallurgical activities including metallographic and physical testing facilities, providing product and process control testing services, product and process development, failure analyses, problem solving and quality control testing.

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  1. To conducting control trials are conduct for evaluating action plans. Following the Standard operating procedures at every step of production.
  2. Team Handling.
  3. Specialist in operational process as well as quality aspects of Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Alloy Steel.
  4. Knowledge of National & International standards for steel (IS, AMS, ASME. DIN, JIS, ASTM)
  5. Practical exposure to Metallurgical Testing, Microscopic Evaluation for Inclusion Rating, Grain Size Microstructure. Micro hardness Tester Hardness Machines as per International standards and procedure.
  6. Conducting the process validation and furnace calibration by external agency.
  7. Knowledge of Thermal Engineering, oil quenching.
  8. Evaluation of the process deviation in case of any abnormality in 48 Hrs.
  9. Daily production activity, reporting to HOD and Plant Head before 9.00 AM every morning.
  10. Meeting with next process personnel for their issues and comfort and to act accordingly.
  11. Managing the shift personnel and ensure smooth production without jolt.
  12. Planning for coming 7 days to be made and updating on daily basis with actuals based on the material in hand
  13. Performs materials and process evaluation for the development of new and existing products.
  14. Performs routine and non-routine audits on material heat treated and analyses the deviation if any (Product audit)
  15. Participate in new processes of new materials.
  16. Maintains heat treat equipment certifications to ensure that all applicable specifications are met.
  17. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  1. Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Metallurgy, with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  2. Demonstrated ability to apply proper analytical and/or lean tools in completion of their assignments.
  3. Must be able to effectively interact with all levels of the organization both orally and written.
