Role Overview

We are hiring seasoned
SAP ABAP consultants
with deep expertise in
Quality Management (QM)
—specifically
Inspection & Planning
—to deliver GxP-compliant solutions in regulated environments (pharma, life sciences, medical devices). You will collaborate with functional QM experts, compliance teams, and cross-module SAP stakeholders to build, enhance, and validate custom developments across ECC and S/4HANA platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate QM functional specs (Inspection Plans, Sampling Schemes, Usage Decisions) into robust ABAP technical designs.
  • Develop and optimize ABAP objects: Reports, Enhancements, BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, OData services, ALV, SmartForms/Adobe Forms.
  • Ensure seamless integration with SAP modules (MM, PP, SD, PM, WM) and external systems (MES, LIMS, Lab).
  • Deliver GxP-compliant developments: audit trails, validation documentation, change control readiness.
  • Support all testing phases: unit, integration, UAT, defect resolution, transport management.
  • Participate in code reviews, peer debugging, and performance tuning (SQL Trace, ATC, Code Inspector).
  • Provide hypercare, post-go-live support, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with offshore/onsite teams and mentor junior developers as needed.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 6–8 years of hands-on SAP ABAP experience (ECC and S/4HANA).
  • Strong command of ABAP: OO ABAP, ALV, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, BAPI, RFC, IDocs, Enhancements, BADIs.
  • Integration experience: RFC, Web Services, OData, APIs.
  • Deep understanding of SAP QM (Inspection Planning, Sampling, Results Recording, Usage Decisions).
  • Prior experience in GxP-regulated environments with audit readiness and validation documentation.
  • Exposure to S/4HANA enhancements: CDS Views, AMDP, performance optimization.
  • Strong debugging and optimization skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • SAP ABAP/S/4HANA certification.
  • Experience in global rollouts and multi-country implementations.
  • Dual capability in SAP QM functional + technical domains.
  • Familiarity with IQ/OQ/PQ validation processes.
  • Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 for mobile QM use cases.
  • Experience integrating SAP with MES, LIMS, or lab systems.
