Key Responsibilities

  1. Contract Management & Negotiations

  2. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including MoUs, EPC agreements, vendor/supplier contracts, consultancy agreements, NDAs, and financing/security documents.

  3. Assess and advise on legal risks and mitigation strategies for commercial agreements.

  4. Corporate & Regulatory Compliance

  5. Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations (e.g., Indian Contract Act, environmental regulations).

  6. Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting consultancy and EPC businesses, especially in the renewable energy sector.

  7. Liaise with legal advisors, government authorities, and regulatory bodies.

  8. Dispute Resolution & Litigation Management

  9. Handle legal notices, pre-litigation matters, and coordinate dispute resolution strategies.

  10. Work with external counsel for litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings.

  11. Maintain accurate legal documentation and compliance records.

  12. Project & Transaction Support

  13. Review legal documents related to land acquisition, leasing, and licensing for solar projects.

  14. Guide internal teams on necessary regulatory approvals and permits.

  15. Governance & Risk Advisory

  16. Advise senior management and board on governance and compliance issues.

  17. Develop and implement internal legal policies (e.g., anti-corruption, data protection).
  18. Conduct legal training sessions for project and business teams.

Qualifications & Skills

  • LL.B. / LL.M. from a recognized institution.
  • 5–12 years of relevant experience in corporate legal roles, ideally in consultancy, infrastructure, EPC, or renewable energy.
  • Strong background in contract law, compliance, and dispute resolution.
  • Knowledge of solar energy regulations, PPAs, and project financing is a plus.
  • Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
