Key Responsibilities

A Java technical lead is responsible for the technical direction and quality of a software project. Their duties typically include:

  • Architectural Design: Designing and documenting the overall system architecture, including the selection of technologies and frameworks.
  • Coding and Development: Writing high-quality, maintainable code and conducting code reviews to ensure best practices are followed by the team.
  • Team Leadership: Mentoring junior developers, delegating tasks, and providing technical guidance to solve complex problems.
  • Performance Optimization: Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and scalability issues in applications.
  • Collaboration: Working with product managers, stakeholders, and other teams to define project requirements and timelines.

Required Skill Set

A successful Java technical lead must possess a deep and practical understanding of the following technologies:

  • Spring Boot: Extensive experience with the Spring ecosystem, particularly Spring Boot, for building robust, stand-alone applications. This includes knowledge of Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
