About the Job

We're looking for an IT Operations Engineer on a 6-month contract to support our IT infrastructure and help maintain reliable systems and services. This role is well-suited for someone with a solid base in Windows systems administration and working knowledge of VPN, Microsoft 365, and/or Intune. You'll be part of a collaborative team and will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks in a remote setup, aligned with US Eastern Time.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support and manage Windows-based systems and applications.
  2. Troubleshoot and maintain VPN connectivity and secure remote access.
  3. Handle day-to-day tasks in Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
  4. Help manage devices and policies using Microsoft Intune.
  5. Work with Active Directory: user accounts, permissions, and policies.
  6. Set up and manage file and print shares.
  7. Assist with desktop management, including patching and imaging.
  8. Apply basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, WINS) to resolve connectivity issues.
  9. Collaborate on occasional network-related tasks involving Cisco routers/switches.
  10. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours support, as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  1. Around 1 year of experience in IT operations or system support roles.
  2. Familiarity with VPN, Microsoft 365, and/or Intune.
  3. Comfortable working with Windows OS, Active Directory, and Group Policies.
  4. Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  5. Willingness to work Monday–Saturday during US Eastern hours.
  6. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently when needed.
