As a Senior Staff Cloud & AI Cybersecurity Architect, You'll be involved designs, implementation, and managing security strategies for systems incorporating artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML). Unlike a traditional security architect, this role specifically addresses the unique threats and vulnerabilities introduced by AI systems, such as adversarial attacks and data poisoning. The role requires proactive threat modeling, defining security standards, and working cross-functionally to embed security by design.

Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Design and architect security solutions: Create and implement comprehensive security architectures for cloud-native applications and AI/ML workloads on the AWS platform, aligning with best practices like the AWS Security Reference Architecture.
- Secure AI/ML lifecycle: Integrate security controls throughout the entire AI/ML development and deployment lifecycle, including data protection, model integrity, and secure MLOps practices.
- Conduct threat modeling: Perform risk assessments and threat modeling specifically for AI systems, identifying potential vulnerabilities such as adversarial attacks, data poisoning, and model inversion.
- Implement cloud security controls: Enforce robust security measures on AWS, leveraging services like AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS Key Management Service (KMS), Amazon GuardDuty, and Amazon Macie.
- Develop AI security mitigation strategies: Design defenses against AI-specific threats, including securing models and data from manipulation, injection, and exfiltration.
- Ensure compliance: Translate business requirements and regulatory standards into practical, compliant cloud and AI security controls.
- Automate security: Utilize Infrastructure as Code and scripting languages like Python to automate security provisioning and integrate security seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead and mentor: Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to security engineers, data scientists, and development teams.
- Communicate effectively: Explain complex security issues and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Respond to incidents: Lead response efforts for security incidents, with a specific focus on those involving AI systems or the AWS cloud environment.
Education background
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity specifically with cloud security architecture and AI/ML technologies.
Required Skills
- AWS expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with AWS security services and excellent understanding of AWS architecture and best practices.
- AI/ML security knowledge: Familiarity with AI and ML fundamentals, including the security risks and ethical considerations of these technologies.
Technical skills:
- Expertise in network security, access control (IAM), and data encryption.
- Experience with security tools
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and automation (Terraform, CloudFormation).
