Job Description for Junior Accountant at Associated Lighting Systems

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to support our accounting operations and ensure accurate financial record-keeping. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining key accounting documents such as delivery challans, invoices, and payment records, as well as coordinating material replacements and courier dispatches. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and effective coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Documentation & Billing
  • Prepare and generate Delivery Challans, Proforma Invoices, and Sales Bills accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain records of missing bills/challans and ensure prompt follow-up for reconciliation.
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Maintain and update the Outstanding Payments List regularly.
  • Coordinate with clients and the sales team to ensure timely collection of dues.
  • Material Replacement Coordination
  • Maintain proper records of material replacements, including approvals and dispatch details.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to ensure smooth replacement processes.
  • Verification & Record Maintenance
  • Re-check and verify the Monthly Purchase Register for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain proper filing of sales, purchase, and courier records.
  • Courier & Dispatch Coordination
  • Manage sales courier records and coordinate dispatches to ensure timely delivery of invoices and documents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in accounting, billing, or administrative finance roles (freshers with internship experience may apply).
  • Basic knowledge of Tally / ERP / Excel or other accounting software.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with GST billing and invoice management will be an added advantage.
