Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Jr. Accountant to join our team at a leading chemical importer and distributor. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting concepts, proficiency in Tally Prime, and knowledge of GST and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) regulations. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in compliance, and supporting the accounting department in day-to-day financial operations. Responsibilities Maintain and update financial records using Tally Prime software. Prepare and process invoices, bills, and payments related to import and distribution activities. Ensure accurate calculation and timely filing of GST returns and TDS compliance. Assist in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies. Support month-end and year-end closing activities. Coordinate with auditors and assist in audit preparations. Maintain clarity and accuracy in accounting entries adhering to accounting principles. Keep abreast of changes in GST and TDS regulations and ensure compliance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations. Experience or training in using Tally Prime accounting software. Knowledge of GST laws and TDS provisions applicable to import and distribution businesses. Good numerical and analytical skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in work. Skills Proficiency in Tally Prime accounting software. Strong understanding of accounting concepts and principles. Knowledge of GST registration, filing, and compliance. Understanding of TDS calculations and filing procedures. Basic data analysis and reconciliation skills. Effective communication and organizational skills. .
