Job purpose: As an Assistant Manager Supply Chain, Primary responsibility will be to ensure efficient and timely execution of Last Mile delivery operations. Coordination with warehouse team and Third-party logistic partner for vehicle placement. Manage daily delivery activity to achieve high on time delivery performance. Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure end-to-end delivery success.
Role & responsibilities:
Last Mile Delivery Management
- Oversee and ensure smooth execution of last mile delivery operations across designated areas.
- Monitor daily delivery performance metrics, including on-time deliveries, failed deliveries, and returns.
- Manage and track real time delivery status using Logistic tracking tool or dashboard.
- Monitor end to end delivery closure reports to track pending, failed or reschedule shipments.
- Conduct regular meetings with delivery partners to discuss performance and gaps.
Performance Monitoring:
- Track key operational KPIs [Eg :- Delivery SLA , Cost per delivery etc]
- Analyse performance report and take corrective actions to address issues or delay.
Customer experience:
- Ensure high level customer satisfaction through effective delivery tracking and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to handle escalations and feedback related to delivery.
Warehouse Coordination and Issue resolution:
- Investigate and resolve issue related to missing, delayed / packing error or damage shipment in coordination with warehouse team.
- Provide accurate and timely update to customer service team post investigation in coordination with warehouse team to ensure consistent communication.
Shipment Reconciliation and Dispute Management:
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of all shipments, including delivered, in-transit, returned and undelivered shipments.
- Ensure 100% accuracy in shipment reconciliation across system and with 3PL partners
- Track escalate disputed shipments [ lost , damage, undelivered] to courier partner with defined SLA.
- Collaboration with Finance team on monthly basis to reconcile COD remittance dispute.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 Year of relevant experience in Logistic Specifically Last Mile Delivery.
- Prior experience working with 3PL partners like Delhivery, or E-commerce like Flipkart, Myntra.
- Hands on experience with shipment reconciliation, fraud investigation, loss prevention.
