Purchase Assistant/Officer

Job Summary:
Bachelor's degree required or relevant field.
1–4 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
Experience in Industry, e.g., manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and service.
- Assist in sourcing materials, equipment, or services according to company standards.
- Request and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) in a timely manner.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and assist in onboarding new vendors.
- Follow up with suppliers on order confirmation, delivery schedules, and shipment tracking.
- Resolve delivery issues, shortages, or quality discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, price lists, and supplier information.
- Ensure proper documentation for audits and compliance.
- Monitor and update procurement databases or ERP systems.
- Assist in negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings.
- Coordinate with warehouse, production, and finance teams to monitor stock levels and avoid shortages or overstock.
- Support inventory reconciliation and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchase requirements.
- Communicate delivery timelines and procurement status to concerned teams.
- Support budgeting and planning for procurement cycles.
