Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Senior Development Editor (Medical) to lead and oversee the publication & editorial process across textbooks, exam guides, review articles, and digital learning platforms. This role requires strong editorial judgment, medical knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with authors and experts to produce world-class medical content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end publication & editorial process for medical manuscripts and exam-preparation material.
  • Review manuscripts for publication and analyze the market gap & competition.
  • Collaborate with authors, subject experts, and reviewers to enhance manuscript quality.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with editorial and publishing standards.
  • Mentor junior editors, ensuring team-wide editorial excellence.
  • Coordinate with production and design teams for timely project delivery.
  • Manage multiple projects while adhering to strict timelines.

Requirements

  • MBBS/MD or relevant degree in medical/health sciences.
  • 25 years of experience in developmental editing, medical publishing, or academic content.
  • Excellent command of English (written & verbal).
  • Familiarity with AMA, Vancouver, and ICMJE guidelines.
  • Knowledge of digital publishing tools and reference management systems is an advantage.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in medical publishing or academic content development.
  • Exposure to digital learning and e-publishing platforms.
