Job Title: Senior Marketing Officer

Location: Delhi

Senior Marketing Officers -Vertical Leads

Each Senior Marketing Manager (SMM) will be responsible for leading the marketing and outreach strategy for one of the six core service verticals of the Department of Posts:

  1. Parcels
  2. Domestic Mail
  3. International Mail
  4. Citizen-Centric Services
  5. Post Office Savings Bank (POSB)
  6. Postal Life Insurance (PLI) / Rural PLI

Operating under the strategic direction of the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), these managers will drive visibility, customer engagement, revenue growth, and service adoption through vertical-specific marketing campaigns and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Design and implement vertical-specific marketing strategies in alignment with DoPs overall objectives.
  • Identify target customer segments, market trends, and opportunities for growth within each service vertical.

2. Campaign Development & Management

  • Plan, execute, and monitor high-impact campaigns (regional and national) across multiple media channels.
  • Collaborate with creative, media, and analytics teams to ensure timely and effective campaign delivery.

3. Brand Visibility & Awareness

  • Strengthen the brand identity of services under each vertical by developing consistent, audience-specific messaging.
  • Promote services through regional outreach, partnerships, and customer education initiatives.

4. Market Research & Insights

  • Conduct regular market research, competitor benchmarking, and customer feedback analysis.
  • Use insights to inform campaign design, product positioning, and service innovation.

5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track campaign performance using defined KPIs (e.g., engagement rates, conversion, adoption metrics).
  • Generate monthly and quarterly performance reports with actionable insights for optimization.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations, finance, IT, product development, and customer service teams to ensure service readiness and promotional alignment.
  • Serve as the primary marketing liaison for their respective vertical across regional and central offices.

7. Partnership Development

  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships with private sector players, government agencies, and community organizations to expand service reach and relevance.

Desired Profile:

Qualifications: Masters Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

Experience: 812 years of experience in marketing, preferably with exposure to public sector, logistics, telecom, or citizen services.

Proven track record of leading large-scale campaigns and managing cross-functional teams.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing across traditional and digital channels.
  • Ability to translate policy and services into citizen-friendly messaging.
  • Proficiency in data interpretation, customer segmentation, and campaign performance analysis.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Regional language proficiency (preferred) to support local-level outreach.

  • Growth in service adoption and customer base within the assigned vertical.
  • Improvement in brand recall and customer satisfaction.
  • Campaigns and outreach initiatives.
  • Number and quality of partnerships formed.
