Job Overview:
We are adding a Website Tag Developer to our Information Technology Services Team to lead the firm's efforts to standardize tag management best practices. The role will be implementing the digital tagging and analytics measurement strategy for Oliver Wyman's portfolio of digital products, which includes websites, blogs, mobile apps, and reporting applications. The role will work closely with Digital Marketing, Security and Risk, Engineering, Quality Assurance and Product Teams. This function is crucial in the global management of visitors to external Marketing Web sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute the entire process, from understanding the metric tagging plan to testing, maintaining, and auditing website tags.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including agency partners and third-party vendors to resolve discrepancies or platform issues and ensure they are following analytics and measurement best practices.
• Validate and debug the implementation, and then follow up to resolve any issues that may arise.
• Centralize digital tracking, analytics, and data quality.
• Direct data layer implementation on new sites and pages across the different digital products.
• Responsible of maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the tagging environment by manually and automatically monitoring tags.
• Own all Analytics and Tag Manager environments & processes.
• Design, development, and support of all advanced platform implementations of Analytics and Tag Manager as well as tagging, testing, and ad hoc troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain documentation regarding data layer implementation requirements.
• Participate in QA/UAT testing to ensure compliance with acceptance criteria.
• Work with developers as needed to communicate what an implementation is intended to accomplish.
• Work closely with various teams to set up designs of tags, measurements, monitor metrics, and analyse implementation success.
• Diagnose problems with existing platform configurations and tags and make suggestions for improvement.
• Maintain working knowledge of industry best practices and changes in analytics platforms.
Skills & Experience Required:
• 2+ years of experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics or similar web analytics tools (variables, events, segments, dimensions, custom queries, etc.), and tag management tools (e.g., Google Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics, etc.).
• BA or BS, preferably in a Business, Marketing, or analytical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in industry and/or similar positions.
• Well versed in creating and deploying Analytics & Marketing Tags using a Tag Management system (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or Adobe Analytics, Adobe Tag Manager).
• Ability to work quickly, efficiently multi-task and deliver commitments in a timely fashion.
• Have proven analytical and technical skills, strong people skills, great attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the drive to always learn and grow.
• Be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Be collaborative when working with data service and marketing teams.
• Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on data-driven decision making.
• Strong written and verbal communication required to liaise with stakeholders, global teams, and delivery teams to communicate on development activities and timeframes.
• Fluent in English
• Desire to learn new tools and technologies and ability to analyze the applicability of such to add value to the firm.
• Prior experience with a Content Management System (AEM, Drupal, WordPress)
• Knowledge and expertise on JavaScript/JQuery
• HTML/HTML5
• CSS
• Data analytics, Adobe/Google certifications related to the role would be a plus.
