This role serves as the central command center for end-to-end supply chain execution, including import/export activities, cross-border logistics, customs compliance, and forecasting/planning processes. The Associate Director will drive performance excellence across internal teams and external vendor networks while ensuring seamless coordination with Global Project Management and other stakeholders to optimize supply chain performance and service delivery throughout project lifecycles.Key Accountabilities1. Operational Leadership & Team ManagementTeam Leadership: Provide strategic direction, performance management, and professional development to the logistics project service team membersResource Management: Optimize team resource allocation, manage workload distribution, and ensure adequate staffing levels across logistics project service team to meet project demandsProcess Excellence: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline logistics processes, enhance service delivery efficiency, and implement best practices across operationsCross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate seamless collaboration between logistics team and other business functions to ensure on-time, quality project deliveryKnowledge Development: Ensure comprehensive team training on current procedures, international regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practicesIssue Resolution: Take full accountability for escalations and investigations from internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective resolutionSubject Matter Expertise: Serve as primary expert for Global Project Management and external clients, providing training, guidance, and best practice recommendations2. Comprehensive Vendor Oversight & ManagementVendor Performance Management: Oversee all third-party logistics providers and outsourced supply chain operations vendors to ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain executionKPI Development & Monitoring: Establish, track, and optimize Key Performance Indicators for service quality, delivery performance, cost efficiency, compliance adherence, and customer satisfaction across all vendor relationshipsContract Management: Negotiate, implement, and actively manage service level agreements (SLAs) with all outsourced partners, ensuring alignment with business objectivesOperational Excellence: Conduct regular vendor performance reviews, and capability evaluations to drive process optimization and maintain service standardsRisk Mitigation: Develop comprehensive risk management strategies and contingency plans to ensure business continuity across the entire vendor networkVendor Development: Work proactively with vendors to identify improvement opportunities and implement performance enhancement initiatives3. Import & Export Operations & Compliance ManagementRegulatory Compliance: Ensure all international shipments comply with customs regulations, import and export requirements, and documentation requirements for both origin and destination countriesDocumentation Management: Oversee preparation, accuracy, and timely submission of all import and export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and other documents as needed. Cross-Border Coordination: Manage complex cross-border logistics for electronic devices and ancillary items, ensuring smooth customs clearance and deliveryCompliance Monitoring: Maintain current knowledge of changing international trade regulations and implement necessary process adjustments to ensure ongoing uninterrupted project delivery 4. Forecasting & Planning LeadershipDemand Planning: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive demand forecasting processes in collaboration with various stakeholdersSupply Chain Planning: Drive strategic planning initiatives to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and improve supply chain efficiencyScenario Planning: Develop and maintain contingency plans for various demand scenarios, supply disruptions, and market changesCross-Functional Planning Coordination: Work closely with various stakeholders and finance teams to align supply chain plans with business objectives and project timelinesPlanning Process Optimization: Continuously improve forecasting accuracy and planning processes through data analysis, technology implementation, and best practice adoption5.
