Role & responsibilities

  • Oversee the origination of Secured Business Loans (Loan Against Property) from initial inquiry to loan approval.
  • Ensure compliance with MASs credit policies and industry regulations.
  • Structure loan offers in alignment with the customer's financial, repayment capacity, and risk appetite.
  • Assess the financial viability of businesses applying for secured loans.
  • Collaborate with legal and technical teams to evaluate property valuations and documentation.
  • Monitor and review the loan portfolio periodically to identify early signs of delinquency.
  • Identify potential risks in existing loans and take proactive measures to reduce defaults.
  • Propose and implement improvements to credit policies and procedures for effective risk mitigation.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior credit officers on loan processing and risk assessment.
  • Utilize digital tools for processing and monitoring LAP loans to enhance efficiency and reduce manual work.
  • Work towards reducing operational expenses related to underwriting, documentation, and loan monitoring.
