Hi All,. Immediate opening for a Mainframe Tester with REXX-Individual Contributor @ Hyderabad location with 5+yrs of experience. . Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for mainframe applications.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing on mainframe systems.
  • Analyze and interpret test results, identifying and reporting defects.
  • Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to resolve defects and ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain REXX scripts for test automation and data manipulation.
  • Use REXX to create test data, simulate scenarios, and automate repetitive testing tasks.
  • Optimize REXX scripts for performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to REXX scripts.
  • Create and manage test data for mainframe applications.
  • Ensure test data accuracy and consistency.
  • Utilize REXX scripts to generate and manipulate test data.
  • Log and track defects using defect tracking tools.
  • Analyze defect patterns and trends.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution of defects.
  • Participate in defect triage meetings.

-Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

  • Document test results and defect reports.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation of REXX scripts and procedures.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide regular status updates.

Mandatory Skills and Expertise :

  • Strong experience in testing mainframe applications.
  • Proficiency in various testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Experience with mainframe tools and utilities (TSO/ISPF, JCL, DB2).
  • Understanding of mainframe application architecture and development processes.
  • Expert-level knowledge of REXX scripting for mainframe automation.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining REXX scripts for test automation and data manipulation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve REXX script issues.
  • Experience in creating and managing test data for mainframe applications.
  • Knowledge of data manipulation and generation techniques.
  • Experience in using defect tracking tools.
  • Ability to analyze and report defects effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mainframe testing.
