Responsibilities and Expectations

The Batch fundraising manager will be responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of fundraising campaigns for all batches of alumni from the IIT Kanpur. He/She will work closely to design and implement fundraising strategies that increase donor participation, retention, and giving levels.

  • Develop and implement fundraising plans for all batches of alumni of IIT Kanpur.

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of fundraising campaigns, including direct mails, online giving, social media and events.

  • Build and maintain relationships with alumni, volunteers, and other key stakeholders to cultivate a culture of giving.

  • Work with team to set fundraising goals and develop strategies to achieve them.

  • Analyse fundraising results and adjust strategies as needed to ensure success.

  • Develop and maintain a database of alumni donors, ensuring accurate and up-to- date records of all interactions.

  • Collaborate with communications team to create compelling fundraising materials, including appeals, newsletter and social media content.

  • Manage volunteer committees and coordinate their efforts to support fundraising initiatives.

  • Participate in donor cultivation and stewardship activities, including events, meetings and personalised outreach.

Desired Profile

  • Post graduate in marketing, communications, non-profit management, or related field.

  • At least 6-8 years of experience in non-profit fundraising, with a proven track record of

success in managing fundraising campaigns and meeting or exceeding fundraising goals.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse data and make data driven decisions.

  • Familiarity with fundraising software and databases.
