Head of Product – Electronics (with ASP Expertise)

Location: Dadar

Experience: 2+ years in electronics product management, including pricing strategy and ASP management

Role Summary:

The Head of Product – Electronics will lead the strategic direction, development, and lifecycle management of our electronics product lines. A strong understanding of ASP (Average Selling Price) and pricing dynamics is essential, as the role requires balancing innovation, feature development, and market competitiveness with product margins and profitability.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams—R&D, manufacturing, sales, finance, and marketing—to ensure our product offerings meet both technical standards and business targets.

Key Responsibilities:Product Strategy & ASP Management

  • Define the product roadmap aligned with business goals and market trends.
  • Own and manage ASP targets across product categories to ensure optimal pricing and profitability.
  • Analyze sales data, pricing trends, BOM (Bill of Materials) costs, and customer feedback to inform pricing strategy.
  • Work with finance and sales teams to forecast revenue and gross margin performance.

New Product Development

  • Drive end-to-end product development from concept to market launch.
  • Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams on product specifications, design, and performance.
  • Ensure new products are developed with competitive features while maintaining ASP targets.

Leadership & Cross-functional Coordination

  • Lead and mentor the product management team.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and procurement to manage product cost structure and supply chain optimization.
  • Align with sales and marketing on go-to-market plans, value propositions, and competitive positioning.

Market & Customer Insights

  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify gaps, opportunities, and threats.
  • Gather customer and channel partner feedback to influence product enhancements.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings as needed.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Track key metrics including ASP, gross margin, product adoption, and time-to-market.
  • Report regularly to executive leadership on product performance and financial outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management in the electronics industry.
  • Proven track record managing pricing strategies, ASP targets, and product profitability.
  • Strong understanding of electronic product development, hardware components, and BOM costing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field; MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, and sales.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with global supply chains and electronics manufacturing (EMS/OEM).
  • Experience with tools such as ERP, PLM, pricing models, and product analytics platforms.
  • Experience with IoT, consumer electronics, or industrial automation products.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards like RoHS, CE, FCC.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50, ₹60,000.00 per month
