The Opportunity

We're looking for an exceptional leader who can turn vision into traction who can build trust, open doors, and turn conversations into lasting impact.

As Head, Business Development, you'll be a strategist, storyteller, and field builder rolled into one. Youll engage with Indias top schools, inspire principals and teachers, and help them see — and join — the future before others do.

This role blends hands-on excellence with influence at scale — you'll shape outreach frameworks, training models, and success playbooks that your team members will use.

Above all, you are a leader who inspires by doing — a player-coach who raises the bar through example.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership

  2. Define and execute a school partnership strategy across premium and mid-tier schools.

  3. Start hands-on, then build and mentor a high-performing field team within 3–6 months.
  4. Co-create scalable engagement and referral models with the Founder.
  5. Ownership & hustle: plan, act, and follow through.

  6. Relationship & Evangelism

  7. Build trust and buy-in with principals, boards, educators, and parents through thoughtful consultative engagement.

  8. Represent the company at leading education forums — creating curiosity, not noise.
  9. Lead immersive pilots that let decision-makers feel the innovation.
  10. Storytelling mastery: simplify the complex; inspire belief.

  11. Adoption & Growth

  12. Achieve 70% pilot-to-adoption conversion and expand into multi-campus relationships.

  13. Proven hands-on field leadership and driving adoption success in schools.
  14. Set standards for pipeline discipline, forecasting, and CRM hygiene.
  15. Capture insights from schools to refine outreach and training models.

  16. Teacher Enablement & Advocacy

  17. Design and lead inspiring teacher sessions that spark confidence and classroom integration.

  18. Build networks of teacher-champions who advocate from within.

  19. Data & Intelligence

  20. Maintain 95% CRM accuracy; produce concise weekly growth insights.

  21. Track KPIs on adoption, referrals, and NPS (8/10).
  22. Translate market intelligence into refined strategy and positioning.

Experience

We are looking for someone who has grown influence, not just run outreach.

Your experience should reflect depth, consistency, and judgment.

  • Contextual Understanding of Schools:

    Experience working inside or closely with schools — understanding how principals make decisions, how teachers adopt new practices, and how school calendars and academic priorities shape change.
  • Multi-Stakeholder Navigation:

    Demonstrated ability to influence principals, coordinators, teachers, and parent bodies in thoughtful, respectful ways — not transactional selling.
  • Change Enablement Exposure:

    You have led or supported the introduction of a new program, pedagogy, or system in schools or learning environments — and seen what it takes for adoption to stick.
  • Field Execution with Refinement:

    You have spent time in classrooms, workshops, or school leadership meetings — and learned to adapt messaging based on lived ground realities.
  • Strategic Thinking with Operational Discipline:

    Not just ideas — you've built systems, cadences, and repeatable playbooks that others could use after you.
  • Credible Professional Presence:

    Your communication style carries warmth, clarity, and confidence. You engage like a peer — not a vendor.

Ideal Range: 5–12 years of relevant experience across:

Education leadership, school partnerships, program implementation, teacher professional development, or high-trust consultative roles in learning environments.

Qualifications

  • MBA / PGDM (Preferred) — Business, Marketing, or Education specialization.
  • Bachelors in Education, STEM, Business, or Communication preferred.
  • Certified in Training / Facilitation / Design Thinking or equivalent professional development.
  • Tech Fluency: Slides, video, basic AV; Google Workspace; CRM (Zoho/HubSpot/Salesforce); Slack; Notion; Zoom/Meet.
  • Fluent in English and Hindi; regional languages are an advantage.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with STEM/future-skills programs or EdTech launches.
  • Familiarity with multiple boards (CBSE, ICSE, IB, Cambridge).
  • Event management for school fairs or parent orientations.

Compensation

  • 15–30 LPA (OTE): 7.5–15 L fixed + 7.5–15 L variable + travel reimbursement.
  • Equity in company for exceptional contribution.

  • Reports to Founder.
  • Location: NCR with frequent intercity travel.
