About the Role:

As a QA Lead, you will define and drive the overall QA strategy, ensuring delivery excellence across multiple PODs. You will coordinate teams, monitor quality metrics, and act as a liaison between clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement comprehensive QA strategy, standards, best practices, and testing methodologies across the organization.
• Oversee end-to-end test planning, design, execution, and defect lifecycle management across multiple projects.
• Lead and mentor distributed POD teams, coordinating cross-functional collaboration and fostering a culture of quality ownership.
• Monitor and track key quality metrics and KPIs (defect density, test coverage, release readiness) and generate reports for stakeholders.
• Facilitate regular client communication including status updates, quality reviews, demos, and issue resolution.
• Manage QA operations and deliverables using Jira, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and TestRail.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines, drive test automation initiatives, and optimize testing frameworks.
• Conduct risk-based testing, establish comprehensive test coverage, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of security and performance testing practices.
• Exposure to BDD/TDD and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience in specific industry domains (banking, healthcare, e-commerce).

Requirements:

• 10 years of progressive experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• 3+ years in a lead or senior QA role managing teams and driving quality initiatives.
• Expert proficiency in Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, and Jenkins.
• Strong hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Appium, RestAssured or similar).
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies with distributed teams.
• Knowledge of API testing, database testing, performance testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with scripting/programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Deep understanding of testing types: functional, regression, integration, system and UAT.
