Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of IBM Mainframe Utilities to ensure seamless system operations and data integrity.
  • Provide technical support for Control-M Batch Operations ensuring timely and accurate job scheduling and execution.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Control-M Scheduler enhancing system reliability.
  • Develop and maintain COBOL programs to support business applications ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Utilize AS400 Operations to monitor and manage system resources optimizing performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Implement best practices for AS400/COBOL development ensuring code quality and maintainability.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements.
  • Document technical specifications and operational procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance and code quality.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations maintaining data security and privacy.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials and mentor junior team members to foster a culture of learning.

Qualifications

  • Possess extensive experience in IBM Mainframe Utilities and Control-M Batch Operations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in COBOL programming and AS400 Operations.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Showcase excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Display adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
  • Hold a bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
