Role & responsibilities

  • Installation and Configuration of OS on laptops & Desktops.
  • Configure desktop and laptop as per the desktop/laptop standardization policies of IIL.
  • Installation and Configuration of MS office Troubleshooting issues related to standard office softwares (MS Office Word, xls, PowerPoint etc.).
  • Installation / re-installation / configuration of in-scope client software / applications and Other applicable business Software's.
  • Installing and troubleshooting SAP, AutoCAD, CorelDraw, Adobe acrobat writer, etc
  • Isolate system issues; diagnose standard software issues and report hardware issues to respective Vendors.
  • Installation/Troubleshooting/re-installation/configuration of systems, printers, scanners. Troubleshoot print queue related issues.
  • Configure appropriate rights and permissions for accessing printers.
  • Configure Print Queues for Servers / Users / Groups, provided printer queue is implemented by IIL.
  • Troubleshooting of critical network issues for end users.
  • Support for local area network issues (LAN), DHCP client.
  • Configuration of IP addresses in PCs and adding the same to VLANs (As applicable).
  • Installation / configuration of e-mail clients.
  • Performing user data recovery as applicable.
  • Installation and Configuration of Anti-Virus Software. (approved and provided by IIL).
  • Install approved OS patches onto desktops / laptops.
  • Remove virus from respective desktop / laptop with the antivirus software.
  • Troubleshooting of critical Desktops & Laptop hardware problems.
  • Raising tickets with coordination with vendor for hardware related issues and follow up until closure.
  • Pick up the assigned incidents & tickets and work until closure.
