Job Responsibilities – MEP Billing & Estimation1. Estimation & Tendering

  • Study project drawings, specifications, and tender documents for Plumbing, Firefighting, Electrical, and HVAC works.
  • Prepare detailed BOQ (Bill of Quantities) with item description, quantity take-off, unit, and rate analysis.
  • Conduct cost estimation including material, labor, subcontractors, and overheads.
  • Float enquiries to vendors/subcontractors and prepare comparative statements for techno-commercial evaluation.
  • Assist in preparation of tenders, proposals, and quotations.

2. Billing & Measurement

  • Prepare running account bills (RA Bills), interim payment certificates, and final bills as per contract conditions.
  • Verify and certify subcontractor bills based on work progress and site measurements.
  • Maintain proper record of measurement sheets, joint measurement records (JMR), and reconciliation statements.
  • Coordinate with site engineers for daily progress reports and update billing status.

3. Documentation & Reconciliation

  • Maintain billing registers, abstract sheets, and client billing formats.
  • Prepare material reconciliation (free issue material vs. consumption).
  • Track variation orders, extra items, non-tendered items and prepare claims accordingly.
  • Ensure billing complies with project contract, client requirements, and statutory norms.

4. Coordination

  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Clients for certification of bills.
  • Interact with consultants for approvals, measurements, and clarifications.
  • Liaise with vendors & suppliers for rate negotiations and finalization.
  • Support Accounts & Finance in ensuring timely payment follow-ups.

5. Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare monthly Work Progress & Billing Reports for management.
  • Track cash flow projections based on billing & payment schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other taxation requirements in billing.
  • Highlight risks, cost overruns, and delays to management for corrective action.

6. Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of MEP works (Plumbing, Firefighting, HVAC, Electrical).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, ERP (if applicable).
  • Good negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30, ₹40,000.00 per month
