Senior Java Scala Developer

Role Summary & Role Description:

This role is responsible for leading the Engineering team that would design & implement inhouse applications/solutions and integrate the vendor products into the complex landscape of the Bank's Risk Infrastructure. The position requires background in application development, a good understanding of leading IT technologies in particular Java, Scala, Bigdata, spark, aws. The person in this role will be completely hands-on and will work with cross-functional teams across the globe. The candidate will be working on latest technologies including Big-data, Cloud and building a platform for Enterprise Risk Technology of applications and related areas. It includes getting sources/feeds from multiple vendors, clients and consuming them to provide market data to the down streams.

Core/Must have skills:

• Excellent knowledge of Java
• Understanding of: Spring, Multithreading, Memory management, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, SQL etc.
• Experience in Bigdata ecosystem like Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Spark, Scala etc.
• Strong knowledge of Databases – Oracle / Data Lake etc.
• Hands-on experience in CICD.
• Technology frameworks like Java Spring, Integration frameworks like Kafka/MQ/JMS.

Good to have skills:

• Experience working in a geographically spread out team.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Results-oriented: Tenacious, gets things done, should know how to approach the problem statement and identify solutions.
• Self-starter & able to work with minimal guidance, and ability to establish oneself within the team
