Senior Manager Direct Taxation

Location: Gurugram

Experience: 4+ years post-qualification

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)

About the Role:

The role involves managing end-to-end direct tax compliance, handling tax reconciliations, vendor recoveries, and supporting audit and assessment activities. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Indian tax laws, hands-on experience in TDS/TCS, and the ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless tax operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Direct Tax compliance, including TDS, TCS, income tax returns, and other statutory filings.
  • Handle reconciliation of 26AS, vendor debit notes, and recovery of tax amounts.
  • Assist in preparation and filing of tax returns and provide support during audits and assessments.
  • Draft responses and replies to queries or notices from income tax authorities.
  • Prepare and submit applications for Lower Tax Deduction Certificates (LTDC).
  • Evaluate new products and transactions to ensure tax compliance and governance.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Product, Operations, and Shared Services teams for process improvements and automation.
  • Strengthen tax governance frameworks and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.

Candidate Profile:

  • CA qualified with at least 4 years of post-qualification experience in Direct Taxation.
  • Strong understanding of Income Tax Act, TDS, TCS, and related rules.
  • Prior experience in banking or financial services preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
