Position: Sales Research Analyst

Reports to: The Managing Director

Experience: Retail industries background Preferred

Remuneration: Up to 50K/Month

Job Description of Sales Research Analyst involves gathering and analysing quantitative and qualitative data on market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to provide insights and recommendations that improve sales performance and inform strategic decisions. Key responsibilities include designing data collection methods, analyzing data with statistical software, creating reports, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams. Essential skills include analytical thinking, technical proficiency with data tools like SQL and Excel, and strong communication for presenting findings to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection:

Devising and implementing methods for collecting data, such as surveys, questionnaires, focus groups, and analyzing public records and market reports.

  • Market & Trend Analysis:

Researching consumer preferences, competitor activities, industry developments, and broader economic trends to identify opportunities and challenges.

  • Data Analysis & Interpretation:

Using statistical software to analyze large datasets and identify patterns and insights into sales performance and market conditions.

  • Reporting & Presentation:

Converting complex data into clear, actionable recommendations, reports, graphs, and presentations to inform management and stakeholders.

  • Strategic Support:

Providing data-driven advice to sales and marketing departments to help them design and improve product features, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.

  • Sales Forecasting:

Utilizing data and trends to predict future sales performance and anticipate future demand.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Skills:

Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools like Microsoft Excel, SQL, statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:

The ability to process and interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate findings into strategic recommendations.

  • Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present research findings and collaborate with various departments.

  • Business Acumen:

Understanding of business processes, market dynamics, and how research findings contribute to business growth and improved sales performance.

  • Organizational & Attention to Detail:

Strong organizational skills to manage large datasets and meticulous attention to detail to ensure data accuracy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45, ₹50,000.00 per month
