Job Title - Audio Engineer

Report to – Lead, Audio Engineer

About us

IVM Podcasts, founded in 2015, is India's premiere podcast network, that aims to

serve listeners with a wide portfolio of audio content across genres. The

network produces, distributes and monetizes talk and narrative based audio

content across genres from comedy and politics to advertising and business.

In 2020, Pratilipi and IVM Podcasts came together to create a sustainable and scalable

model for the podcasting industry in India. IVM Podcasts will continue to

create content under the Pratilipi banner, with an even larger and more diverse

portfolio of podcasts across genres.

Who We Want ?

We are looking for young dynamic and enthusiastic candidates with good communication

and interpersonal skills, who can coordinate well and have the ability to

multi task. An individual who can manage the studio well and willing to grow

and learn in this field.

Keys Responsibilities:

  • Record, edit and mix audio tracks (interviews, narrations, etc.)
  • Enhance sound quality and add sound effects to recordings.
  • Should have an idea about podcasts and fair knowledge about digital and audio content.
  • Should have knowledge about online platforms like Zoom, Stream Yard for online remote recordings.
  • Resolve technical issues when they arise.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sound Engineer. (2+yrs)
  • Diploma / Degree in Audio/Sound Engineering or related field.
  • Experience of handling sound recording studio equipment. (e.g., Mixing Consoles)
  • Technical expertise in sound engineering techniques (e.g., equalization)
  • Working knowledge of recording software (e.g., Pro Tools (latest version), Audacity, etc.,)
  • Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Creative and attention to details.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Language preferred - Kannada (Mandatory)
