About the Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Predictive Modeling Specialist to join our data science or analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying predictive models that drive strategic business decisions, optimize operations, and improve customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Model Development:

  • Design and develop predictive models using machine learning and statistical techniques (e.g., regression, decision trees, ensemble methods, clustering, time series).
  • Apply techniques such as feature engineering, model tuning, cross-validation, and model performance evaluation (e.g., ROC, AUC, RMSE, precision/recall).
  • Build and maintain scalable, production-grade models for use in areas such as customer behavior prediction, risk scoring, demand forecasting, fraud detection, and more.

Data Exploration & Preparation:

  • Analyze and transform large structured and unstructured datasets using SQL, Python, R, or other tools.
  • Perform EDA (exploratory data analysis) to understand data trends, identify anomalies, and prepare data for modeling.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to source, clean, and prepare data pipelines for modeling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and tools like SageMaker, Databricks, or BigQuery ML.
  • Knowledge of time series forecasting, survival models, or NLP is a plus.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • Exposure to MLOps pipelines, containerization (Docker), or model deployment frameworks (MLflow, Airflow, etc.).
  • Domain knowledge in finance, insurance, healthcare, e-commerce, or marketing analytics is a bonus
