Role Overview:

The Piping Designer will be responsible for preparing piping design deliverables for onshore oil & gas projects. This includes creating plot plans, equipment layouts, piping plans, isometrics, and support details, while ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop piping designs including plot plans, equipment layouts, and piping plans under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Prepare construction drawings and job packages including isometrics, material take-offs (MTOs), and support details.
  • Perform interdisciplinary checks to ensure coordination across engineering disciplines.
  • Review and incorporate vendor drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct site surveys to support design accuracy and feasibility.
  • Maintain drawing registers and ensure proper documentation control.
  • Ensure compliance with Lamprell's HSES (Health, Safety, Environment, and Security) policies.
  • Adhere to all applicable information security policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience:
    Minimum 5–8 years in piping design for onshore oil & gas projects.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, AVEVA, or SP3D.
  • Familiarity with piping materials, dimensional standards, and fabrication practices.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
