Role Overview:

As a Senior Designer – Piping at Lamprell, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of piping systems for offshore and onshore projects. This includes creating plot plans, equipment layouts, piping plans, isometrics, and support details. You will ensure all deliverables meet customer specifications, company standards, and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently develop piping designs including plot plans, equipment layouts, and piping plans.
  • Plan and schedule design activities in coordination with the job engineer.
  • Supervise and check the work of a team of 4–5 designers.
  • Review designs for completeness, safety, accessibility, material handling, and operability.
  • Conduct inter-disciplinary checks to ensure coordination across engineering disciplines.
  • Prepare construction drawings and job packages including isometrics, material take-offs (MTOs), and support details.
  • Maintain and update comprehensive drawing lists.
  • Review and comment on vendor drawings.
  • Perform site surveys to support design accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with HSES (Health, Safety, Environment, and Security) policies.
  • Adhere to all applicable information security policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience:
    Minimum 10 years in offshore, onshore, or drilling rig design and construction.
  • Software Proficiency:
    PDMS, AVEVA, SP3D, or equivalent 3D design software.
  • Strong understanding of piping materials and dimensional standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines.
