To lead and oversee the effective deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of plant equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational performance, minimal downtime, and cost efficiency across project or plant sites.
o Oversee the installation, commissioning, and operation of heavy machinery and equipment at project sites/plants.
o Ensure smooth running of all mechanical equipment (e.g., batching plants, crushers, DG sets, cranes, mixers, etc.).
o Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
o Lead troubleshooting and resolution of machinery breakdowns to minimize downtime.
o Monitor asset utilization, condition, and performance metrics.
o Maintain inventory of critical spares and tools.
o Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely availability and relocation of equipment.
o Provide technical support during execution of site activities requiring mechanical inputs.
o Liaise with equipment suppliers, rental agencies, and maintenance contractors.
o Evaluate and finalize AMCs (Annual Maintenance Contracts) and service agreements.
o Ensure compliance with safety norms, environmental guidelines, and statutory requirements related to equipment operation.
o Maintain records related to equipment history, servicing, and inspections.
o Prepare and control the annual budget for plant and machinery operations.
o Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in maintenance and operations.
o Lead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and operators.
o Conduct regular training and capability-building sessions.
