Why this role exists

India Quartz is a producer-group company supplying Quartz/Quartzite lumps and grits in multiple size bands (0–10, 10–20, 20–40, 40–80 mm and custom sizing) to industries like steel, ferro-alloys, foundry, engineered stone, glass, and ceramics. We operate across Andhra Pradesh, run mechanized production, and follow strong QA practices (on-site and third-party testing) with large-scale capacity and port-proximate logistics. Your mandate is to convert capacity into cashflow: build the funnel, close anchor buyers, professionalize dispatch & QA, and own P&L execution.

What you'll own

  • Revenue engine from to scale: Build a 200–400 account funnel (domestic + export), stand up CRM, create outreach cadences, sampling and technical data sheets, and deliver monthly drawdowns with repeat buyers.

  • Anchor customer acquisition: Close 3–5 anchor accounts in ferro-alloys, engineered stone, ceramics, and glass; negotiate contracts (price ladders, penalties, payment terms), and lock steady lift plans.

  • Grade control & QA/QC: Align offers to application specs (SiO₂/Fe₂O₃ bands, size curves). Orchestrate sampling, on-site and third-party test certificates, and SKU discipline.

  • Logistics & dispatch discipline: Standardize lanes mine→plant and mine→port; manage bulk vs container, loose vs jumbo bags; ensure OTIF dispatch and clean documentation (GST, e-way, COA).

  • Team & site leadership: Lead on-ground supervisors, build a lean sales+ops pod, drive HSE, productivity, and contractor governance.

  • Working capital hygiene: Credit policy, DSO control, collection cadence, and margin integrity.

Ideal candidate (the type of person)

  • Consulting DNA + minerals hustle: 2–6 years in management consulting / founder's office 2–6 years in industrial minerals or adjacent heavy B2B (quartz/silica/feldspar/aggregates/trading). You've done structured problem-solving, but you're happiest in steel-toed boots, on site, with a PO to close.

  • Go-getter closer: Can open doors and convert—comfortable calling purchase heads at ferro-alloy/engineered-stone/ceramics/glass plants and major traders.

  • Spec & operations literate: Can talk SiO₂, Fe₂O₃, size fractions, moisture deductions, COAs; know how QA and beneficiation/blending affect ASP and yield.

  • Logistics fluent: Road/port handling, FOB/CIF math, inspections; knows how to keep trucks moving and documents tight.

  • Communication & languages: Crisp written offers and WhatsApp/Email discipline; English plus at least one of Telugu/Tamil/Hindi is a strong plus.

What success looks like (first 12 months)

  • Revenue run-rate: Stable monthly tonnage with 10–20 active accounts; 3–5 anchors covering ≥70% of volume.

  • Margins: +8–12 pts lift via spec discipline, pricing ladders, and logistics optimization.

  • OTIF & QA: ≥95% on-time dispatch; dual-lab test compliance as standard.

  • Cash discipline: DSO ≤45 days; clean paperwork, minimal disputes.

Must-have qualifications

  • Track record closing industrial B2B contracts (preferably minerals/raw materials).

  • Evidence of structured execution (consulting-style problem solving, dashboards, funnel math).

  • Comfort with Excel quoting, basic CRM (HubSpot/Zoho), and documentation packs (COA, MSDS, ISO).

Compensation & incentives

  • Fixed salary: ₹6–12 LPA (experience-aligned).

  • Commission: Heavily commission-based on shipped tonnage and realized margin (tiered slabs; uncapped).

  • Allowances: Travel/field expenses at actuals; performance bonuses for DSO, OTIF, and safety.
