Job Title: Mechanical Engineer / Associate Engineer Maintenance/Associate Manager (Cement Grinding Unit)

Location: Aligarh Uttar Pradesh

Department: Mechanical Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Head

Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring smooth running of mechanical equipment in the plant by handling shift breakdowns, carrying out preventive maintenance, and managing shift manpower, tools, and

spare parts.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Shift Breakdown Handling

Attend to mechanical breakdowns during shift for equipment such as VRM Cement Mill, Wagon Tippler, Packing Plant, Conveyor Belt, etc.

Troubleshoot and resolve faults to minimize downtime.

Coordinate with electrical/instrumentation teams for multi-disciplinary issues.

  1. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

Execute preventive maintenance schedules to avoid unexpected failures.

Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring of critical equipment.

Suggest improvements for increasing equipment reliability and performance.

  1. Manpower, Tools & Spares Management

Allocate and supervise shift manpower effectively for maintenance tasks.

Ensure availability and proper usage of tools, tackles, and safety equipment.

Maintain adequate stock of critical spare parts and coordinate for replenishment.

  1. Safety & Compliance

Follow all plant safety protocols and statutory requirements.

Conduct toolbox talks and ensure compliance with PPE usage.

Report near misses and unsafe conditions immediately.

  1. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain shift breakdown log, preventive maintenance records, and spare consumption reports.

Provide detailed handover notes to next shift for continuity of work.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of cement plant mechanical systems (VRM, wagon tippler, conveyors, packing machines, etc.).

Expertise in breakdown troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.

Manpower supervision and resource planning skills.

Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance tools & techniques.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualification & Experience

Mechanical Engineer/Associate Manager: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 5-10years of relevant experience in cement industry only.

Associate Engineer: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2-4 years of relevant experience.

Work Schedule

Rotational shifts, including night shifts, as per plant requirements.

Uttar Pradesh Domicile Preferred.
