Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated SAS Governance Compliance Manager to oversee the governance, compliance, and risk management processes within our SAS environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAS platform management, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards like GDPR and HIPAA, and implementing data governance policies. This role involves working closely with various teams to align SAS practices with organizational objectives and ensure regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Governance & Compliance Management: Develop and implement data governance frameworks for SAS platforms to ensure regulatory and internal policy compliance
- Monitor SAS systems for compliance with industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and other data protection regulations
- Audit & Risk Assessment: Conduct regular compliance audits to evaluate SAS platform usage and identify potential risks or gaps
- Collaborate with IT, Risk Management, and other teams to address compliance issues and mitigate risks
- SAS Platform Administration: Oversee SAS platform management, ensuring security, system integrity, and compliance with internal guidelines
- Manage user access controls and ensure proper implementation of data security measures
- Collaboration & Training: Work with cross-functional teams (IT, Data, Risk Management) to align SAS governance strategies with business objectives
- Provide training to internal stakeholders on SAS governance, compliance standards, and data security best practices
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate compliance documentation, including audit reports, risk assessments, and compliance status updates
- Report on the effectiveness of compliance strategies and recommend improvements to management
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with SAS platforms such as SAS Management Console and related solutions
- Knowledge of data governance, compliance regulations, and risk management in regulated environments
- Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and other relevant regulatory standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess and address compliance risks
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various teams and provide training
- Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines
