**Position Title: SAS Data Scientist***

**Position Summary**:NEC Corporation India Pvt Ltd is looking for energetic, high-performing and highly skilled SAS data scientist and machine learning expert for advance analytics, data modelling, machine learning use cases using SAS eco-system, Open source ML framework etc.

**Education/Required Qualifications**

**Bachelors or Master’s degree in field of Science, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics**

Total Experience: 8 years

Relevant Experience: 5 years

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- 5+ years of recent professional industry experience in Data Science/Machine Learning etc.
- 3 to 5 years of recent professional experience on using SAS Platforms (SAS 9.x or SAS Viya or both combined)
- Strong ability to code with hands on experience in at least one or more of Base SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Analytics Pro, SAS Studio
- Strong exposure and hands on working experience in at least two or more of SAS Viya components namely SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Visual Statistics, SAS Visual Data Mining and Machine Learning, SAS Visual Forecasting, SAS Visual Text Analytics
- Knowledge of Machine Learning techniques like Simple Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, Time Series Forecasting, Text Mining and NLP, Segmentation etc. to solve business problems across industries
- Knowledge of Machine Learning enhancing techniques of Feature Selection & Feature Engineering
- Knowledge of various data preprocessing steps including but not limited to variable imputation, variable transformation, derived variable creation, sampling, statistical significance and association among variables etc.
- Data Structuring and Organizing Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
- Data Modelling, Data Descriptive & Predictive Analysis and Data Visualization techniques
- Working on Data Exploration & Mining Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
- Creating an environment of decision driven by Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
- Leading data science and artificial intelligence efforts
- Developing customized machine learning algorithms
- Providing expertise on data approaches
- Understanding of various data warehousing systems such as RDBMS systems like SQL and Oracle including the new age dbases.
- Data Presentation skills and experience/knowledge of various visualization tools E.g. SAS Visual Analytics, PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik sense and usage of NLP for visualization.
- Data Based presentations doing periodic analysis and presenting results
- Identify opportunities where data can give business insights
- Staying up to date on the latest AI topics like deep learning
- Passion to answer Product/Engineering questions with data
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to interpret the results and present it in simple and easy to understand manner to larger non-technical audience.
- Should be passionate to learn new things in the field of data science and willingness to pick up newer technologies like cloud, open source including latest developments in SAS Viya.
