Director at School of BFSI

Position: Director - School of Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI)The candidate must hold a Ph. D. with 10–15 years of teaching experience at UG/PG levels, including at least 7 years as a Professor post-Ph. D. HoD experience is mandatory. The candidate should have a strong understanding and practical experience in Banking, and expertise in implementing academic audit and accreditation processes.

Additionally, a minimum of 2–3 years of industry experience is essential to bridge academia and industry, ensuring the integration of practical insights into academic programs. The role demands proven leadership skills, the ability to foster research and innovation, build industry partnerships, and drive excellence in teaching and institutional growth while ensuring compliance with UGC and accreditation standards. This role goes beyond academic oversight — we are seeking a visionary and pragmatic professional who brings deep knowledge of the banking domain, academic rigour, and relevant industry experience to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world practices.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic LeadershipProvide strategic direction to the School of BFSI in line with the university's vision and goals. Lead curriculum design and revisions to ensure relevance to current BFSI trends and industry demands. Foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and outcome-based education.

Teaching & MentorshipEngage in high-quality teaching and mentorship at both UG and PG levels. Promote student-centric teaching methodologies, experiential learning, and skill-building. Research & InnovationPromote faculty and student research, publications, case study development, and applied research projects.

Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and grant-based research initiatives. Accreditation & ComplianceLead the implementation of academic audit processes, compliance with UGC norms, and accreditation standards (e.g., NAAC, NBA). Ensure quality assurance, academic governance, and continuous improvement.

Industry IntegrationLeverage 2–3 years of prior industry experience to integrate practical insights into academic delivery. Forge strong linkages with the BFSI industry for internships, live projects, guest lectures, faculty development, and placements. Team & Institutional DevelopmentBuild and manage a high-performing team of faculty and staff.

Participate in university-wide committees and contribute to institutional growth and policy formation. Organize seminars, conclaves, and industry-academia interactions under the school's banner. Required Qualifications & ExperiencePh.

D. in Banking, Finance, Economics, Management, or related field from a reputed institution.10–15 years of teaching experience at UG and PG levels, including at least 7 years post-Ph. D. as a Professor. Mandatory experience as Head of Department (HoD) or in an equivalent academic leadership role.

Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in the banking or financial services industry. Proven experience in handling academic audits, regulatory compliance, and accreditation frameworks. Strong publication record, preferably in indexed journals.
