Sourcing and negotiation: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for food products, negotiate contracts, and secure favourable pricing.

  • Supplier relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, monitor their performance, and resolve any issues.
  • Inventory and quality control: Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment, conduct quality checks on received goods, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Strategic planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies, conduct market research, and analyse trends to inform purchasing decisions and mitigate risks.
  • Collaboration and reporting: Work with internal departments like finance, production, and quality assurance to align on procurement needs. Prepare reports on procurement activities and performance metrics.
  • Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities and suppliers comply with company policies, food safety standards, and other relevant regulations.

Qualifications and skills

  • Education: Any Bachelor's degree, or a related field.
  • Experience: Prior experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with inventory or procurement software.
  • Soft skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure is essential. Role & responsibilities
