- MS - Run Job TitleAzure Cloud Operations Engineer LocationMumbai / Bangalore Job Type[Full-Time/Part-Time/Contract] About the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled Azure Cloud Operations Engineer to ensure the high availability, reliability, and performance of our critical applications in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing Azure IaaS and PaaS services, VM and OS management, network security, and automation using Terraform and PowerShell. Additionally, the role involves handling change management processes, ticket resolution within SLAs, capacity management, and monitoring using Azure Log Analytics. Key Responsibilities High Availability Reliabilityo Ensure the high availability and performance of critical applications hosted on Azure, managing failover and disaster recovery strategies. o Monitor system health, identifying potential issues before they impact availability and taking proactive measures. VM and OS Managemento Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Machines (VMs) and associated operating systems. o Perform regular updates, patching, and OS management to maintain security and performance. Network Management Securityo Design, implement, and manage Azure networking components, including virtual networks, subnets, and Network Security Groups (NSGs). o Secure network environments by applying best practices for NSG rules, VPN configurations, and network segmentation. Automation Scriptingo Develop and maintain automation scripts using Terraform and PowerShell for infrastructure deployment, configuration, and maintenance. o Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate and standardize cloud operations. Change Management Ticket Handlingo Manage and document changes in the cloud environment, following established change management processes. o Handle support tickets and incidents, ensuring resolution within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). o Coordinate with cross-functional teams to assess and implement change requests. Log Analytics Monitoringo Set up and manage Azure Log Analytics to monitor and analyze cloud resources and application logs. o Implement Azure Monitor and other tools to track performance, detect anomalies, and ensure continuous service improvement. o Create and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports for real-time visibility into the cloud environment. Capacity Managemento Monitor resource usage and plan for capacity upgrades to accommodate growth while optimizing costs. o Analyze usage trends and forecast future needs to ensure resources are allocated efficiently. IaaS PaaS Services Managemento Manage Azure IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) resources, including VMs, storage, and networking. o Oversee Azure PaaS (Platform as a Service) offerings, such as Azure App Services, ensuring they meet application requirements and performance benchmarks. Update Patch Managemento Implement and manage update schedules for all cloud resources, ensuring that all systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches and software updates. o Automate the update and patch management process to minimize downtime and manual intervention. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in cloud operations with a focus on Azure. Strong understanding of Azure IaaS and PaaS services, VM and OS management, and networking. Proficiency in automation using Terraform, PowerShell, and other scripting tools. Experience with change management processes and ITIL best practices. Hands-on experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other monitoring tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong understanding of network security and NSG management. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft CertifiedAzure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in the cloud. Knowledge of cloud cost management and optimization strategies. Familiarity with multi-cloud environments or hybrid cloud setups. Experience with containerization and microservices in Azure.
