Participate in project review meetings as needed.

Work in a team environment and foster open communication to ensure knowledge transfer to team members.

Participate in on-call after-hours coverage in case of emergency issue arises.

Ability to multitask and handle urgent interruptions with poise and professionalism.

Function as a subject matter expert/technical point of contact.

Create and maintain knowledge base articles to prevent & resolve similar issues quickly.

Virtualization project SOW preparation and execution of virtualization projects.

Find RCA & solution for escalated issues.

Shift: (2:30 PM 10:30 PM IST)

Qualifications

VMware:

  • Expert level of work experience in VMware ESXi 7.0 & 8.0 environment.
  • Installation & Configuration of VMware ESXi host & vCenter.
  • Managing and troubleshooting Enterprise VMware environments.
  • Managing and troubleshooting on VMware vMotion, Storage vMotion, High Availability, DRS.
  • Deploy virtual machines, use clones, snapshots, templates.
  • Managing and troubleshooting Virtual Volumes technology.
  • Managing Virtual Machine Snapshots.
  • Troubleshooting with the help of VMware Logs & vCenter logs.
  • Troubleshooting on VMware performance issue with commands.
  • Troubleshooting experience on vCenter performance counter.
  • Good experience in VMware Horizon (Virtual Desktop) environment.

Other Infra Skills:

  • In-depth Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2016/2019 Administration: Install, Configure & manage.
  • Microsoft troubleshooting skills and tools, including OS Hardening and Vulnerability assessment.
  • Knowledge of TCPIP, DHCP, DNS and Troubleshooting.
  • Good PowerShell scripting Knowledge.
  • Good Knowledge in Veeam backup software.
  • Experience in Compliance, Patch management and Pure Storage.
  • Should have worked on supporting an enterprise class Data Center.
  • Hands-on experience with physical server installation.
  • Willing to jump into and learn new technologies as business needs arise.

Good To have technical skills:

  • Having experience in other hypervisors such as Hyper-V or Citrix Xen Server.
  • Working knowledge in ecosystems like OpenShift, Docker, Azure / GCP is a plus.
  • Ability to automate repeated tasks using Ansible.
  • VMWare certification (VCP) will be added advantage.
