Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to lead our Accounts and Taxation function. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NBFC accounting practices, direct & indirect taxation, and regulatory compliance. This is a key leadership position reporting to the CFO and will involve managing end-to-end financial reporting, audits, and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

 Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Oversee the complete accounting function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IND AS.
  • Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Handle accounting for complex NBFC transactions like ECL provisioning, fair value measurement, securitization, and loan accounting.
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and audit readiness.

 Taxation

  • Lead direct and indirect tax compliance including Income Tax, TDS, GST, and Stamp Duty.
  • Manage tax audits, assessments, filings, and statutory payments.
  • Drive tax planning initiatives and ensure compliance with Transfer Pricing regulations (if applicable).
  • Represent the organization before tax authorities as needed.

 Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with RBI guidelines, Companies Act, and NBFC-specific financial regulations.
  • Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Keep updated with changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory frameworks.

 Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Support CFO in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Provide financial insights, variance analysis, and recommend actions for performance improvement.

 Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a small to mid-sized team in finance and accounts.
  • Build a high-performance culture with a focus on compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Key Skills Required:

  • Strong technical knowledge of IND AS (especially IND AS 109, 32, 107).
  • Expertise in Income Tax, GST, and other relevant tax laws.
  • Hands-on experience in NBFC-specific compliance and accounting.
  • Familiarity with RBI reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Leadership qualities with ability to manage cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Chartered Accountant with 10–14 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Prior experience in NBFC, Banking, or Financial Services is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of both accounting and taxation in regulated financial environments.
  • Should have handled at least one full cycle of financial statement finalization and tax audit independently.
