About the Role:

The Accounts Head's role is to oversee and control the overall accounting and financial operations across the group of companies under Precious Alloys Pvt Ltd. The position involves managing statutory compliance, financial reporting, and ensuring accuracy in all aspects of accounting, from TDS and GST to finalization and audits.

This is a senior leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, business acumen, and the ability to guide a team toward maintaining financial integrity, efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in group-company structures and will drive process standardization and continuous improvement across all financial functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management & Control:
    Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to statutory standards (IND-AS, Companies Act, etc.).
  • Finalization & Reporting:
    Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures; ensure timely preparation of balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Taxation & Compliance:
    Lead and review TDS, GST, Income Tax, and ROC filings; ensure timely payment and adherence to all regulatory norms.
  • Audit Coordination:
    Liaise with internal and statutory auditors; ensure audit readiness and address queries efficiently.
  • Team Leadership:
    Manage, mentor, and evaluate the accounting team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and accountability in all financial processes.
  • Cross-Company Consolidation:
    Manage accounts across multiple entities within the group; oversee inter-company reconciliations and reporting.
  • Banking & Treasury Management:
    Monitor fund flow, working capital, forex transactions, and bank reconciliations; ensure optimum liquidity.
  • Vendor & Receivable Oversight:
    Supervise accounts payable and receivable, credit control, and payment approvals.
  • Process Improvement:
    Implement standardized accounting practices and internal controls for improved accuracy and efficiency.
  • ERP / System Proficiency:
    Ensure accounting data is maintained and updated in ERP or financial systems accurately and on time.
  • Strategic Support:
    Collaborate with management and CFO in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support strategic decisions.

Good to Have:

  • Experience in ERP-based environments (e.g., SAP, Tally Prime, or Oracle).
  • Exposure to foreign currency accounting and import/export transactions.
  • Hands-on experience with MIS reporting and management dashboards.
  • Strong knowledge of internal control systems and audit documentation.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to present data-driven insights to leadership.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (ICWA) preferred; M.Com or MBA (Finance) with extensive experience may also be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years in core accounting and finance, with 3–5 years in a leadership role overseeing teams.
  • Proven track record of managing accounting for multiple entities or group companies.
  • Excellent knowledge of TDS, GST, filing, finalization, P&L, and foreign exchange accounting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, and accounting ERP systems
