About the role:

We are seeking a permanent part time employee able to work a rotating roster Monday, Wednesday and Friday as needed. Flexibility is key to the success of this role, and we welcome candidates able to meet this requirement to apply. During the screening process, specific hours will be discussed with candidates who have expressed they can meet this requirement.

About the role:

  • Admitting patients for surgery
  • Checking patients in for clinic appointments
  • Admissions department reception
  • Surgical, Medical and Pre-Admission Clinic bookings
  • Preparation of patient records
  • Ad Hoc admin tasks to assist the Peri-operative Admin Department
  • Cash handling and receipting of patient payments

Qualifications and experience:

  • Min 1 year demonstrated experience in a medical admin role (medical practice or hospital setting) or transferrable admin experience
  • Ability to work a rotating roster Monday, Wednesday and Friday
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word Teams)
  • Accurate data entry skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast paced work environment
  • Strong customer service skills and collaborative team player
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Immunisations that comply with the requirements of a NSW Health Category A worker.
  • Experience with medical patient administrative software i.e. Meditech, PAS or similar (desirable)
