Job Title: Python Backend Developer

Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in Python backend frameworks, API development, and database management. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimise backend systems and APIs using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
- Design and implement RESTful APIs that integrate with front-end applications and third-party services.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of backend applications.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for containerization and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Manage version control using Git and maintain clean, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Utilise AI code assistants to improve coding efficiency and productivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the development lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Python Backend Developer.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB databases.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines is an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with AI-based coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
