Position: Network and Systems EngineerLocation: Hyderabad, IndiaJob Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Systems Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in networking, switching, routing, server maintenance, and the deployment and management of OpenStack, Kubernetes (K8s), and OpenShift environments. The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset, be an active learner, and bring 5 years of real-world experience in building and maintaining robust, secure infrastructure. This role demands strong technical expertise across a wide range of hardware and software platforms, a good understanding of network security, and a passion for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network routers, switches, and firewalls. Manage and maintain enterprise-grade servers and related hardware. Deploy, monitor, and maintain OpenStack, Kubernetes, and OpenShift clusters.

Ensure high availability, performance, and security of infrastructure systems. Lead network design and planning based on business requirements. Perform system upgrades, patch management, and capacity planning.

Implement and manage firewall rules, VPNs, NAT, and IPS/IDS systems. Automate routine tasks using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Shell scripting. Set up and monitor observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK).

Document network topologies, server configurations, and infrastructure changes. Required Skills:Networking: Deep knowledge of L2/L3 switching & routing protocols (VLAN, OSPF, BGP, STP, etc.). Server Maintenance: Installation, configuration, hardware troubleshooting, RAID, remote console access (iLO, iDRAC).

OpenStack: Hands-on experience in deployment and lifecycle management.Kubernetes & OpenShift: Setup, management, and troubleshooting of container orchestration platforms. Firewalls & Security:Experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, pfSense, or Check Point. Configuration of NAT, ACLs, IPS/IDS, VPNs, and secure network segmentation.

Monitoring: Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack. Hardware Exposure:Routers & Switches: Cisco (Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki), Juniper (EX, QFX), HPE Aruba, Arista. Servers: Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo ThinkSystem.

Good to Have:CI/CD Tools: Exposure to Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or ArgoCD (bonus, not mandatory). Automation & Scripting: Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Git.

Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.Security Best Practices: Server hardening, RBAC, TLS, secrets management (e.g., Vault). Container Tools: Helm, Kustomize, or other deployment tools.

Preferred Qualifications:Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network , CKA, Red Hat OpenShift Administrator, or RHCSA/RHCE.Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills.
