We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join AXA XLs Accounting Policy team. This role is critical in managing the accounting policy. The ideal candidate will possess robust technical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

What youll be DOING

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Assist the Senior Manager in developing, reviewing, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures across the company, including insurance, investment, lease, intangible assets and real estate accounting areas.
  • Support the implementation and adherence to IFRS accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Participate in internal control activities, including quarterly reviews, to ensure the effectiveness and compliance of financial processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including actuarial, investment, and real estate teams, to ensure consistent application of accounting policies.
  • Prepare and support documentation for audit and regulatory reviews.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in accounting standards and regulations relevant to the company's activities.

You will report to Senior Manager, Chief Accounting and Capital Office.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Relevant years of experience in accounting, with exposure to insurance, investment, lease, intangible assets and real estate accounting areas.
  • Effective understanding of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Analytical mindset with effective attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
