Position: Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reports to: CFO

About the Role

We are seeking a Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant with hands-on experience in finance, accounts, taxation, and compliance, preferably in the real estate sector. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting, assisting in financial planning, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting the finance team in strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Preparation and finalization of financial statements as per Ind AS/Companies Act.
  • Maintenance of books of accounts (Tally/ERP/SAP).
  • Monitoring of project-wise costing, budget tracking, and revenue recognition.
  • Preparation of MIS reports for management on monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Reconciliation of bank, vendor, and customer accounts.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9).
  • Compliance with TDS, Income Tax, Advance Tax provisions.
  • Assistance in tax audits, statutory audits, and internal audits.
  • Liaising with consultants for income tax assessments and GST assessments.
  • Ensuring compliance with RERA regulations and reporting requirements.

Real Estate Specific Responsibilities

  • Monitoring of Project Cash Flow and fund utilization.
  • Handling JV/Partnership accounting for projects.
  • Maintaining records for RERA compliance, project registration, and financial disclosures.
  • Tracking allotment receipts, milestone payments, and customer collections.
  • Coordination with sales, legal, and project teams for financial due diligence.

Other Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly profitability reports and variance analysis.
  • Assistance in budgeting and forecasting for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Support in funding arrangements, loan documentation, and compliance with bank covenants.
  • Coordination with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and government authorities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • CA Inter / Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant with 2 - 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, GST, Income Tax, and TDS.
  • Experience in real estate accounting, RERA compliance, and project costing preferred.
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP / SAP / MS Excel.
  • Analytical mind-set with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional coordination.
