Job Summary:

Swami Devi Dyal Group of Professional Institutions is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and visionary academic leader to serve as Dean (Academics). The Dean will be responsible for providing academic leadership, ensuring academic excellence, maintaining quality standards, and implementing effective teaching-learning practices across all departments of the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership for academic planning, curriculum development, and quality enhancement.
  • Oversee and coordinate academic programs across various departments and faculties.
  • Ensure adherence to the norms and guidelines of AICTE, UGC, NMC, DCI, and affiliating universities.
  • Supervise and monitor teaching-learning processes, examinations, and academic performance.
  • Lead faculty development initiatives and promote research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Coordinate academic audits, accreditation, and compliance-related activities.
  • Foster a student-centric academic environment focused on skill development, employability, and excellence.
  • Collaborate with heads of departments and other academic leaders to maintain academic integrity and discipline.
  • Prepare and implement academic calendars, time-tables, and institutional academic policies.
  • Represent the institution in academic meetings, conferences, and other professional forums.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline from a recognized university/institution.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of teaching and administrative experience in higher education, with at least 5 years in an academic leadership role (such as Head, Principal, or Dean).
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of accreditation, academic regulations, and curriculum frameworks (AICTE/UGC/NMC/DCI norms).

Compensation:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience, as per institutional norms.
